Detectives given a further 36 hours
MURDER squad detectives have been granted a second time extension to question a man in connection with the discovery of a burned woman's body in Dummer.
Police arrested a 27-year-old from London in the capital on Wednesday and brought him to Hampshire for questioning.
Yesterday they were given an extra 36 hours to quiz him. That was due to expire on Saturday morning, but this afternoon Hampshire Constabulary detectives successfully applied for a further 36 hours.
The arrest followed the gruesome discovery of a woman's badly burned body, stuffed in a suitcase, by a dog walker just off Wayfarer's Way in Dummer last week.
